Go Green! Write Green Party under party affiliation
and send a message to the major parties. Click here for more information
on why you should Go Green!
If you have moved since the last time you have registered to vote,
or want to change your party affiliation, just re-register. You should
also re-register, or at least check your registration, if you haven't
voted in the last few elections.
If you are a first time voter in your county, make sure to bring
some ID with you to the polls (e.g. a driver's licence), or at least
a utility bill or bank statement with your name and address. As long
as you do that, it is acceptable to send in your voter registration
form without copies of any of the requested identification documents.
You don't need any special official permission to help other people
register using copies of the official voter registration forms. (See
full instructions on the voter registration form).
To vote in the General Election (including the Presidential Election)
you must be registered to vote 29 days in advance.
If you will be out of town on an election day--or for any reason--you
can vote early in many elections or you can use a mail-in absentee
ballot, which you must request before the election. You can do so
in person
as
late
as the
Friday
before
an election. The absentee ballot must be received by your county
elections division before polls close on election day.
More information is available from your county clerk's office, and
on the Colorado Secretary of State's Elections
Center website. |
