The
winners of the 2012 Green Giant Awards are:
- Hammer Time! Projects:
“a community-powered collection of resources for people to responsibly
create and obtain what they need. We promote creativity, ecological
health, participatory decision making, self-determination, alternative
forms of exchange, and more meaningful connections with the things we
use as well as with each other.” (from www.hammertimeprojects.org)
- Dr. Rick Price:
for 40 years of bicycle advocacy that has helped turn Fort Collins into
one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the United States. A
professional geographer and long-time CSU Study Abroad Advisor, Rick

Fort Collins Bike Library, and chaired the city’s Bicycle Advisory
Committee. Fittingly, Dr. Price is currently finishing up his 40th
anniversary bicycle tour of Italy.

as part of a comprehensive transportation solution for Colorado,
